Chestnut Truffles

Here is a simple recipe for Chestnut Truffles. Enjoy!


18 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips

14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk

1 tablespoon of vanilla

2 cups of boiled, shelled, and finely chopped chestnuts

For Coating: Finely chopped almonds, chocolate sprinkles, flaked coconut, colored sprinkles, colored sugar, powdered sugar, or unsweetened cocoa

In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and chestnuts. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in any of the above coatings. Chill 1 hour or until firm. Store covered at room temperature.

    Senhora Zita, eu comprei castanhas das grandes a senhora nao sei se sao saburozas porque ainda nao as cuzi,mas quando cheguei acasa e abri o sacu vi que tinha muita castanha miuda chamei o meu Tony Branco que tambem comprou castanhas e ele me dice a mesma coiza!!! Nuno
